SHARD RULES [Current September 20th, 2009]

These rules are not all-encompassing. Use common sense while playing Medievil-UoR Networks. If you think something might, could be, or should be illegal, DO NOT DO IT. Also keep in mind; these rules are constantly under revision. Check back often. Not being aware of a rule is not an excuse. Failure to adhere to the following rules can result in In-Game punishments (jail/kicks/bans/firewalls/etc), Real World consequences (Legal Action), or any punishment the Staff deems fit.

General Rules

Players will follow any and all instructions given by staff members In-Game immediately and to the best of their ability.
Players will NOT imitate any staff members of the shard. These include GMs, Counselors, Forum Moderators, etc.
Players will NOT advertise other UO servers in game or on the Medievil-UoR Forums.
Players will NOT attempt to hack, flood, crash, or otherwise disrupt service of the server.

Account rules

Each Player will be allowed 4 accounts per IP address. (With exceptions)
Any exceptional accounts created by staff members for a player will be with new player benefits , new player checks).
Bans will be placed by account. New accounts will not be created for players who Have obtained banned accounts.
Players will NOT attempt to sell in game items (gold, weapons, pets, real estate, etc) for real world currency.
Players will NOT attempt to gain information about another players accounts (username and password).
Accounts MUST be registered through an email address. Staff members will not deal with any problems coming from unregistered accounts.
Account problems (forgotten passwords/account names/etc) will not be handled by staff members if it is not a registered account. It is a players responsibility to remember the accounts they created.
Accounts will be automatically deleted after 90 days of inactivity, with zero exceptions. Items, characters, real estate, etc. will NOT be returned from an account that was deleted due to inactivity.
3rd party program rules
The only 3rd party programs supported by Medievil-UoR are Razor, Connect UO, and Easy UO (with exceptions).
EUO Exceptions: The Player will NOT script Easy UO to create player bots (PVP bots, PVM bots, perfect syncs, etc) with the exception of resource gathering scripted characters (I.E. Minerbots,Bod Framing Bots ,Cotton Pickers Bots and Reagents Bots , ect).

Macroing

Unattended skill/stat macroing is legal.
Unattended resource gathering is legal.
Bugs/Exploits
Players may access the bug tracker by typing either [addbug or [viewbugs in game.
When adding a bug, please keep the subject clean and on point, and be as descriptive as possible in the description to allow for proper evaluation.
Do not place possible game exploits into the bug tracker. Either send a page to the staff, or send a forum PM to Zeus , e-mail Zeus@medievil-uor.com or Forum PM. ( Very Important Finding a Bug so we fix it make it a Better Shard for all * Remmber iu Migth Be the Owner iof the Shard but the together will Build the best Shard to Play on * )
The Player will NOT use a bug to exploit game mechanics.
The Player will NOT own or trade any bugged items.

Housing

1 houses per account.
Trapping pets or players (dead or otherwise) inside houses or boats is legal. Be aware that running into a hostile players house can have these consequences.
Trapping NPCs (I.E. Wandering healers) inside houses is NOT legal.
A houses total lifespan (from placing to collapse) is 14 days without refreshment.At House that turns Idoc wil collapse in 16:45 Hours.
When trapping players ALWAYS leave them a possible way out a completely trap without being about to escape is ILLEGAL, please refrain from friending people so that they may attempt to escape from the house. Repeated offenses will result in losing your house and items inside it as well as a possible ban / kick from the server. How Ever ALL players should make a Macro for Leave House.

Scamming

Scamming is allowed as long as it does not involve exploiting game mechanics through bugs. Caveat Emptor, buyers beware.
Scamming on the trade forums is NOT allowed, and can result in a ban from the forums and/or game

Harassment

Freedom of speech is tolerated to an extent. Players can speak profanely. If one player is offended by anothers speech, they reserve the right to leave the area where the offending speech is taking place, or log out. (Remember: There is an in game swear filter that can be accessed by going into the Options panel from the paperdoll.)
Profane character names will not be allowed and will be automatically changed by an in game filter. If a player circumvents game mechanics to create a profane name, they will be renamed by a staff member has Generic Player.
Do not spam messages unreasonably. Do not repeat the same message more than once every 30 seconds. Speaking any messages in a spamming manner during an event will have the offending player removed from the event with no exceptions.
The [chat system is closely monitored, do not spam [chat messages, advertise, etc. over the system.
The server wide chat system (when enabled) encompasses these rules as well.
Griefing is allowed as long as it conforms to in game mechanics, and the griefed player is allowed to leave the area. I.E. Rez-killing is legal, since the dead player has the option to find another healer/shrine to resurrect at. Keep in mind that house trapping Pets is legal.
Lost Items/Skills/Pets/Etc
Anything lost during a bug in the software, theft, loss, etc will NOT be returned. Adding bugs to the bug tracker after a crash will help prevent any future losses.
Staff Interaction
Players will not attack/fight/steal from or generally harass another character who is in visible conversation with a staff member. If a staff member tells you to stop, do so immediately.
Staff harassment is a serious issue. This includes verbal abuse (cussing out), disrespect, ignoring, etc.
None of the staff will award special privileges, items, favors, character enhancements, etc to any player on a gratuitous basis.
If a player has a complaint about any staff member, they should send an email with a detailed description of the problem to abuse@medievil-uor.com (Zeus will personally take care of it).This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , so appropriate actions can be taken.
Staff reserves the right to jail/kick/ban/firewall any player, any time, for any reason.
Staff Role Ingame
Staff Role Ingame is to answer pages and help player with issues they encounter , Not to play the game for them ( or do the work for the player), Help when they are Stuck.
Not Find there Pets or UnTrap ther pets or Get there Followers (get ther pets they lost)ect....
Inform Players on searchs they cant find and have look for a considerable while 1 hour atleast ect ect....
Staff Will Never give any items what so ever To Beggers , Repetitive asking and Harrassment in this matter Players will be jail/kick/ban/firewalled after being told more then 3 times NO !.
Staff Will never place a House for a player that is ILLEGAL and will be Dropped On Site By My Zeus.
Staff If they have Ingame Character(s) It Is Totally Illegal to tell other Players there Ingame Characters names If so that Staff will Lose his Staffing Previliages.

Staff reserves the right to jail/kick/ban any player, any time, for any reason that are relative to abuse , disrepect , Racist Remarks , Shards Announcing , using Exploits ect...
Staff WILL NEVER locate IDOC's for player doing so Staff will losses his Privilages.
Staff Will never Snoop on Player BackPack,Bank,Houses unless i give them the rigths to do and that that player is suspecyed to have illegal Item ect....
Using Ingame Paging Syatem
Pages to staff members will be written in a respectful, thought-out manner. If you want the staff members to get to your question in a timely manner, ensure that they are able to read what you have written.
Personal pages will not be tolerated. The paging system is not an IM service for any staff member. This includes Hey, whats up Im bored, talk to me im Page messages.
Any staff member answering any page should be considered competent to handle any task. If the answering staff member cannot complete the page, it will be redirected to one who can. The Player paging must remain patient while the staff members do their jobs.
Failure to thesefollowing rules can result in In-Game punishments (jail/kicks/bans/firewalls/etc), or any punishment the Staff deems fit.
Staff Held Events
No Player will attempt to disrupt any event by spamming text, using disqualified items, giving items to players in the middle of a tournament/duel/etc. Players know how events should happen, use common sense.
Do not grief players during trammel-held events (I.E. Monster bashes),Players not helping out in Killing Monsters at a Monster Bash and that are there only for looting ,and Kill the Champion to get Rewards and Get Money from the event may result in jail time/kicks/bans/firewll.Also having Players in safe area waiting for the Champion or Muilti clienting afk in the Safe Area will be also either Sent out with the [stuck Menu to a city and Event Gates Close and is the same Players are caught Repetively Hard Sanction will be taken such has may result in jail time/kicks/bans/firewall
Do not page staff members asking for events.
Failure to comply with any of the above rules may result in jail time/kicks/bans with or without notice.
Medievil-UoR Forums
Keep the threads clean and on point. Do not hijack, flame, or otherwise disrupt any thread outside of the Off Topic and Medievil-UoR Flames forums.
Do not use overtly obscene language on the forums. Swearing is not prohibited, but dont over do it.
Forum administrators have the right to ban any player for any length of time and for any reason.

Medievil-UoR Ventrilo
Ventrilo is a privilege offered to players by the Medievil-UoT Networks it is not Granted, which lets them communicate to each other through voice chat. Staff members have the right to ban any IP (Read: Any players also connected to that IP) that they deem to. In Game consequences are also a possibility.
Do not spam any voice channel with voice, excessive comment notices, name phonetics (Ex: [][][][][][][][][][][][]), etc. Use common sense.
Do not play music in any channel not designated for music.
Use the push to talk (PTT) option in the Ventrilo setup screen and assign a key for speech. Do NOT use voice activated. Nobody thinks your heavy breathing is sexy , Burping in Vent Show how Evolved you are (pig Style message from Zeus i Hate that ).
Staff will not tolerate any real life harassment outside of Shard policies and these actions will result in being banned from ventrilo and also possible in game actions will be taken as well.
Staff will not tolerate any real life harassment taken towards Wives , Kids say (Ill Go Kill and Rape your whole fucking Family ect.. Keep it at a person between you 2 ppl Otherwise Youll Be Banned in Ventrilo ,If you continu Ingame with This then Sanction
